"This is a cook-book of how to brew up some of the more interesting and sometimes exotic antennas to emerge from the creative minds of those intrepid souls who climbed many a long forgotten roof, sleet and rain dripping from their noses, hands numbed by cold and cut by guy wires, to see how well she gets out. Thanks to them, the bugs were ironed out, the antennas all loaded up properly, and the construction details were set down upon rumpled scraps of paper so that they could be passed along to future generations.
A list of some of the experimenters whose work appears here reads like a Who is Who of Radio It includes: Bill Scherer, W2AEF; Commander Paul H. Lee W3JHR; Allen Katz, W2UYH; Ed Marriner, W6BLZ; Frederick Brown, W6HPH; Herb Brier, W9EGQ; Byron Kretzman, W2JTP; and Dave Heller, K3HNP. Buried among the mighty, are a few sky-hooks of my own humble design."
